The SL-1200 Mark 3D was introduced in 1999 .
It was an update to the popular SL-1200MK2 series.
Basically the same as the SL-1200MK2, the SL-1200MK3D differed only slightly.
It features a few updates to the SL-1200MK2 chassis and Pitch Control System.
The Sl-1200 Mark 3D was discontinued from production in Summer 2003.
::Features and Innovations::
- Recesed Power Knob prevents accidental Power Downs
- Pitch Control has no detent at "0": Silky Smooth from -8 to +8
- Pitch Control has a "Reset Button" which Quartz Locks the Platter
- There is an integrated Headshell holder located on the Turntable Chassis
::Control Section::
- A START / STOP button provided quick starts as well as quick stops
- The power selectorwas changed to a knob which rotates clockwise to engage system power
- A single Fader Slide Variable Resistor controls Pitch Variation of +/- 8% of selected platter speed
